This presentation will provide the latest guidelines to HOW to prescribe in a stepwise approach, including resistant hypertension. It will also include the newest data in CKD and ADA updates.

Dr. Steven Elrod earned his doctorate from Touro College of Pharmacy in New York, NY. Then completed two residencies, both in ambulatory care pharmacy: first at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN; and second at Providence St Peter Family Medicine in Olympia, WA. He is now a preceptor for both the PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residencies at Providence and core faculty for the Chehalis Family Medicine rural track medical residency. He currently holds an associate professorship with Washington State University pharmacy, nursing, and medical schools where his areas of expertise focus on family medicine, addiction medicine, psychotropics, and interprofessional collaboration.
